Many people have probably heard… other people do not know what it is, but cloud computing has been a subject well studied and invested by large companies such as Google.

The idea is for everything to become abstract to us users, so we can have the feeling of being in the clouds, where all we want is there and ready to use. Where it is also possible mobility and you can access everything you want from anywhere, without worrying about how or where such information is obtained in the cloud.

Currently have a computer at home, often in high throughput that do not even know, and we left there without using even half capacity. The fact is that most of us do simple tasks such as editing texts, using orkut, msn, access email, download photos, etc..

Computers sold in the market today have low price and a process that often goes beyond what you need… With the Internet, you have various facilities available to them and only need a simple connection to be able to enjoy the benefits.

Google has invested heavily into the idea that we will not need more computers with high processing capacity and also storage. The idea of cloud computing you need only an Internet connection and a browser in order to use the resources they normally use on your computer, such as text editors, image, chat, orkut and many other services ..

Now just wait to see if this idea will materialize. Remember that many of these services already exist such as the “online office” from google, where you have a text editor, spreadsheet… all online and anywhere.

Today I will talk a bit about Google, the best search engine and how to find exactly what you need through it.

Google is a fantastic search tool, not only search but all the services it proposes to offer. When we get on google, put the phrases that we want and we are hoping he will return exactly what you’re looking for. The fact is that not always look for the right terms.

I’ll try to explain how to search terms that return really what you seek.

The first question one should ask is:

What I’m looking for?

We will quote here as an example, The importance of ozone layer in humans

What we seek is relatively simple, and any search will return a relevant result. But what terms you seek? Many people seek the complete phrase, which is not entirely wrong. Google has improved its search engines for this type of search is understood and interpreted by bringing the best results to the user.

Refining the search, the right would be looking for just the core content, which is the most important part of the sentence. In our case it would be importance of ozone layer

Thus the search would return something far more interesting than a study that encompasses the entire sentence. The secret of all is to understand what you’re looking for, and remove the most articles, prepositions, leaving only words that have their own meaning and that together form the real importance of your search.

Now just use your creativity and find everything you want.

Recently I needed to find a didactic way of showing how to do a review and found that text that I found very useful. So useful that I’m posting here so that you too can enjoy.

“Everyone who attends the blog is used to read several reviews every week, but after all, what is and what we need to know to write a text like that?

As a genre, a review is nothing more than a text as a summary that expresses the author’s opinion about a particular cultural artifact, which may be a book, a movie, plays, exhibitions, concerts, etc..

The aim of the review is to guide the reader through the thickets of cultural production that grows every day and it tends to confuse even the most familiar with all this content.

As a summary, the review should go straight to the point, mixing moments of pure description with moments of direct criticism. The reviewer who can perfectly balance these two points will review the written ideal.

However, being a genre necessarily brief, is resorting to the dangerous mistake of being too superficial. Our text must show the reader the main features of the cultural fact, whether good or bad, but without forgetting to argue on some points and never use phrases like “I like it” or “I did not like.”

Types of Review
So far I talked about the reviews in general and free and these data are already sufficient for you to sketch a few paragraphs.

However, the reviews have some divisions that worth mentioning. The best known of these is the academic review, which has very strict manner, responsible for the standardization of scientific texts. She, in turn, also falls into critical review, review descriptive and thematic review.

In critical academic review, the eight steps below are a guide ideal for a complete production:

Identify the work, place the essential bibliographic data of book or article you will reviewing;
Present work: situating the reader in a few lines describing the entire contents of the text to be reviewed;
Describe the structure: talk about the division into chapters, sections, focus on the narrative or even in a subtle way, the number of pages of full text;
Describe the content: Here yes, use 3-5 paragraphs to summarize clearly the text reviewed;
Analyze critically: In this part, and only that part, you will give your opinion. Argue based on theories of other authors, making comparisons or even using explanations that were given in class. It’s hard to find reviews that use more than three paragraphs to this, but there is no limit. Give wings to your critical sense.
Recommend to work: You have read, summarized and already has given his opinion, it is now time to examine for whom the text is really useful (if useful for someone). Use social or educational elements, based on the age, education, income etc..
Identify the author: Beware! Here you say who is the author of the work that was reviewed and not the author of the review (for you). Speak briefly of the life and works of some other writer or researcher.
Subscribe and identify yourself: Now. In the last paragraph you write your name and says something like “Student, Arts, University of Caxias do Sul (UCS)”
In academic descriptive review, the steps are exactly the same, excluding the step number 5. As its name implies, the review describes only descriptive, does not expose the reviewer’s opinion.

Finally, in the thematic review, you talk of several texts that have a subject (theme) in common. The steps are a little simpler:

Introduce the topic: Tell the reader what the main subject of the texts that will be addressed and why you chose this topic;
Summarize texts: Use a paragraph for each text, say at the outset who is the author and explain what it says on that subject;
Complete: You just explain each of the texts, now is your turn to give feedback and try to reach a conclusion on the subject treated;
Show the sources: Enter the references of each text that you used;
Subscribe and login: Enter your name and a brief description of the “Student, Arts, University of Caxias do Sul (UCS).”

Conclusion
Doing a review seems very easy at first sight, but we must be very careful because depending on the place, reviewers can languish on the shelves a book or turn a movie into a real failure.

The reviews are yet, but a great guide for lovers of art in general, an essential tool to select students who need huge amounts of content in a relatively short time.

Now it’s matter of putting your hands dirty and start producing their own reviews!
